Whether you should grind or dig up a tree stump really depends on the size of the stump, its location, and your budget. Grinding might be best for most small stumps, as it is much faster and more efficient than digging it up.
It does leave some of the roots in the ground, but this usually doesn’t cause any problems for nearby plants or structures. On the other hand, if you have a large stump, grinding might produce too many chips to be practical in your landscape. In that case, we can haul the wood chips away. Or consider removing the entire stump.
Regardless of which option you choose, make sure it fits within your budget and will yield the results you are looking for over the long term.
